Abstract

Presented bachelor thesis discusses selected degradation properties of materials for clean rooms with a focus on stainless austenitic steels used for isolator device manufacturing. The corrosion properties of two stainless steel AISI 316L samples with matte and polished surface finish were investigated by potentiodynamic polarization method in hydrogen peroxide environment. Furthermore, the surface roughness and wettability of the examined samples were evaluated in order to gain complex view and on the tested material’s properties.
