Abstract

The subject of the thesis is the employment of disabled people in the Olomouc Region. The thesis is divided into three parts - legal regulation of employing the disabled people, employing the disabled people under specific condition in the Olomouc region and the evaluation. The second part deals with legal rules related to the disabled people issue. Terms like disability, disabled person in general, disabled person in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd instance are explained here as well as specific law related to the disabled people, active employment policy and instruments to support employment. The third part tries to quantify the situation in the Olomouc Region. This section includes an interview with a disabled person and questionnaire. In the part called evaluation I emphasize benefits that disabled people bring to employers. I try to evaluate the situation in Olomouc Region in general and particular measures Region adopts on behalf of disabled people. There is also such treatment outlined, which could help with employing the disabled people. The aim of this thesis is not only to define the basic terms related to the disabled persons´ employment but also the analysis of the legal regulation. I am pointing out the benefits resulting from employing such people and drawing out the situation in the Olomouc Region.
