Hodnocení zaměstnanců jako nástroj jejich motivace

Abstract

Thesis deals with the issue of employee evaluation as a tool for motivating employees in human resource management. Employee evaluation is an important process that not only provides feedback on work performance and competencies, but also significantly influences the level of work motivation, satisfaction and commitment of individuals. The aim of this paper is to analyse to what extent a well-designed appraisal system can support employee motivation and contribute to increased employee performance, loyalty and professional development. In the theoretical part, different approaches to employee appraisal, the methods used (for example, 360° feedback, appraisal interviews or competency models) and relevant motivational theories are presented, which form the framework for the investigation of this issue. The practical part focuses on the analysis of a specific appraisal system in a selected company, through a quantitative questionnaire survey among employees. The aim of the thesis is to find out how appraisals are perceived from the employees' point of view, what influence they have on their work performance and whether the current system effectively supports their motivation. The results show that the credibility, clarity and regularity of appraisal processes have a direct impact on employees' intrinsic motivation. Based on the findings, the paper concludes with specific recommendations for optimising the appraisal system so that it can be better used as a motivational tool to support both individual employee development and the achievement of the company's strategic goals.
