Abstract

This thesis deals with use of modeling physical fields using FEM in Ansys Maxwell program for validation of the design of the space layout of the MV substation elements and overall design of the MV disconnector. The theoretic part contains several chapters with topics, which are basics for design of most electrotechnical devices. Further it discusses about substations and use of modeling physical fields using FEM. In practical part electrostatic analyze is performed for determination of electric field layout in the substation. In the end author verified overal design of the MV disconnector using electrostatic, magnetostatic, eddy current and static thermal analyze.
