Abstract

Great progress in the automotive industry has created the need to focus on safety issues more than ever before. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is used to control safety and prevent the occurrence of unexpected failures and other unwanted events. Although the FMEA has been around for a long time, it is constantly being improved and modified in order to keep up with increasing demands to ensure reliable service. The latest adaptation in automotive field was published in 2019 by AIAG & VDA. The goal of this thesis was to design and implement a tool according to the latest methodology, which is used for risk analysis and error prevention in the automotive field - FMEA. The resulting program enables the end user to develop both Design and Process FMEA. It offers tabular and graphical representations of the data and multi-account access to the application. It provides specialized features to support analysis, history and version management.
