Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on observing the influence of plastic dough moisture on its behavior during drying, on refractory materials. The final chapter documents this observation by measuring and constructing the Bigot curve. Work begins with a general introduction to refractory materials. The second chapter is devoted to methods of shaping from manual molding to suspension casting and does not wash out. In the next chapter there is a reference to the preparation of a ceramic dough that goes through several technological steps before it becomes a semi-finished product. The penultimate chapter deals with the aforementioned behavior of the plastic dough during drying. In the last chapter, ie the experimental part, concentrating is directed to the observation of the influence of moisture on the working dough on its behavior during drying. The following measurement methods were used for this observation. The first standardized method is the Pfefferkorn apparatus, which determines the optimum dampness of the dough. Furthermore, the length changes of the ceramic mixtures were determined by drying, where the graphical dependence of moisture and shrinkage was used by drying the so-called Bigot curve. The conclusion is dedicated to the actual evaluation of the achieved results. Measure the plasticity, processability and dampness of the dough that is reflected in the Bigot curve.
