Abstract

The content of the work is a theoretical analysis of the transformer protection methodology and a description of principle of differential protection. In my work a basic description of the composition of protections and possible failure states is elaborated. I also listed other types of protection that are part of transformer protection. The aim of the work was to choose suitable instrument current transformers from the calculated parameters and the setting of digital protection SPAD 346C which includes the calculation of its parameters for sitting the tripping characteristic. At the end of the work I described the exact work procedure for testing the functionality of the protection and its associated devices. Part of the work are standards on the safety of testing and the completion of tests.
