Abstract
The thesis aims to create a model of a synchronous generator according to the real synchronous generator and optimization of magnetic circuit of machine leading to the setting of the model and subsequent analysis of the simulations. The main task of the study is to compare simulation results generated in ANSYS Maxwell with the measurements of a real machine. The theoretical part is systematically describes synchronous generator, its history, principles, division and use, especially in the power engineering.
