Abstract

The dissertation focuses on researching the efficiency of converting industrial structures concerning the utilization of traditional construction technologies. The research aims to elucidate the relationship between existing industrial buildings that have undergone conversion and to identify principles for a methodology on handling industrial structures, specifically brownfields. The work involves theoretical exploration of the issue from various perspectives (typology, heritage conservation, traditional materials, construction, and technology) and practical research. Data collected during surveys for the purpose of quantitative analysis is used for research, followed by evaluation through a comparative method with a clearly defined standard based on partial analyses and investigations.
