Aplikace organicky modifikovaného vermikulitu pro sorpce znečisťujících látek

Abstract

Dissertation thesis deals with the preparation and characterization of modified forms of vermiculite and their application as adsorbents of organic compounds from water. The main aim of the thesis is study of adsorption properties of modified vermiculites against chosen organic compounds in fix bed column adsorption and possibilities of regeneration by extraction and thermal method. Several types of organically modified vermiculite was prepared and characterized by x-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectrometry and phase carbon analysis. Prepared modified vermiculites were used as adsorbents of chosen organic compounds in batch adsorption and fix bed column adsorption in laboratory conditions. Subsequently were also used as adsorbents of organic compound from contaminated water on real sites in active remediation process. Regeneration technics were studied on spent adsorbents used for adsorption of organic compounds from industrial waste water.
