Abstract

The thesis is talking about a food problem in the countries of the Horn of Africa. The problem is complicated because of many aspects. The main aim is to find out reasons and consequences of the food problem and to show a contemporary agriculture situation and commodity market in the region. The thesis is divided into a teoretical and a practical part. In the teoretical part there are explained terms of food problem, its conception, influencing factors, consequences and possible solutions. A reader will learn about specific information of the food problem in the countries of the Horn of Africa in the practical part (reasons of hopeless situation in the region and real solution possibilities). There is also described a nutrition situation, an agriculture production and a quality of commodity market. There is used a descriptive analysis.
