Abstract

My final bachelor work is focused on fortress sights reconstruction. The main aim of my work is a promotion of military history trough reconstructed forts, that private owners are reconstructed in their free time. During writing of my final work I tried to combine theoretical knowledge of study branch “geo-sciense from tourism” and practical course of tourism, that I graduated in 2010. In this special course, I received certification for tourist guide. In the first part of my theoretical work I am focused on importance of tourism as one of the most important parts of GDP. In this context, I mention programs, that were used by Olomouc Information Centre to strengthen und promote tourism. Further I am interested in the development of fortress architecture in Europe in general and then I am interested in the development of fortification in our country, this means from the Middle Age to the late 19th century, with a specially focus on fortification past of the city Olomouc and its surroundings. The second part of my work deals with promotion of three permanent forts, which belong to private entities and are open to the schema_dspacedb. In this part I deal with the reconstruction works on the forts Nr. II – Radíkov, Nr. XIII – Nová ulice and Nr. XVII – Křelov u Olomouce. I evaluate the success of the implementation plans of the forts owners and the perspectives of the further use of these interesting and unique fortification monuments in tourism. During the tour I observed their difficult reconstruction and I evaluated the findings from interviews, that gave me forts owners and I offer personal solutions, which could lead to visibility of this buildings. This practical part consists in the description of all three forts and their photographs, which illustrate acquired information.
