Abstract

The subject of presented Bachelor’s thesis is the segmentation of the industrial products market. The first part of the thesis generally describes the terms of segmentation and market segment. Also the requirements that are necessary to achieve an effective segmentation are mentioned there. In the next section the criteria of market segmentation are analyzed in detail focusing on industrial and consumer markets, and the difference between industrial and consumer market is generally described. In the last part the thesis deals with market targeting. The methods of market targeting are presented here and the recommendations which segment the company should be focusing on to be successful.
