Abstract
Multi-criteria decision-making processes are processes of solutions to decision-making issues, i.e. issues, where more than one solution can be selected and where the optimal decision must suit more than one criterion. The aim of the diploma thesis is to assess the level of the insurance market using the indicators of the assessment of this market and to quantify their importance through multi-criteria decision making - Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP), with the intention of express the final sequence of these indicators. The thesis is composed, in addition to the introduction and conclusion, into three chapters. The second chapter handle with the methods of multi-criteria decision making, i.e. methods of determining the weights of the criteria and methods of determining the sequence of each variant. The third chapter contains a description of indicators of the assessment of the insurance market and the assessment of their development. In the fourth chapter is the application of multi-criteria decomposition methods AHP and ANP, which is performed in order to express the importance of the indicators of the insurance market.
