Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on the possibility of operation of the T 700 power plant in Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. from 1 July 2020, when the Transitional National Plan of the Czech Republic will be terminated and the SO2 emission limits will be met in accordance with valid legislation. This is the possibility of intensifying the desulphurization of flue gases produced by combustion of lignite at the T700 plant at Unipetrol RPA in Litvínov.
The theoretical part describes the currently used flue gas desulphurization methods and the description of the technological units of the heating plant T 700. In the practical part are presented the results of four operational tests with two using specially modified slaked lime. Based on the results of these operating tests and the suggestion of possible intensification of flue gas desulphurisation.
