Abstract

The bachelor thesis compares selected current accounts in the Czech Republic for a predefined client and then deals with the selection of the most suitable one, using the methods of multicriterial analysis of variants. The thesis is divided into five chapters, beside the introduction and the conclusion it contains the theoretical characteristics of the current accounts and the methodology of the multi-criterial decision, the practical part analyzes and evaluates current accounts. The chapter with a title of The Characteristics of Current Accounts first deals with banking systems in general, then focuses on the exclusively Czech banking environment. The dominant part is devoted to the detailed description of the current accounts, their legal regulation, the requirements of the current account contracts etc. The chapter is completed by the list of the most common banking products that are usually connected to the current account. In the beginning of the chapter of the methodology of multicriterial analysis of variants, a model of multi-criteria decision making is described, including all of its necessary parts, then the methods used for the weighting of the criteria are explained and, last but not least, some methods of multicriterial evaluation of variants are described. The practical part consists of the analysis of selected current accounts, their comparison and the selection of the variant that meets the established evaluation criteria the best. These criteria, in the first step, need to be determined by their weights of importance, and after that, the analysis and comparison of variants can be done. Finally, the results of each method are compared and the final order of the variants is determined.
