Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a lookout tower made of wood-based materials. It begins with the historical development of observation towers and examines their various types. Three structural variants are presented, one of which is then selected and elaborated on. The thesis includes the layout and architectural design, structural analysis of reinforcing and load-bearing primary elements, and an assessment of selected joints. The project also contains a 3D model created in the SCIA Engineer 21.1 program, a section of the design documentation and a drawing documentation of representative joints.
