Abstract

This work describe evolution of Silesian Ostrava castle in the image of the history and events, further is focusing also in geologic subsoil and construction material used for building of the castle. The objective of theses is introduction readers with Ostrava, the division to Silesian and Moravian part. Furthermore we look to the historic origin of castle, his raise and fall during the time of ownership of various generation. In the main chapter we learn about the castle, his neighbourhood, his importance in terms of geology, geomorphology and used building materials. In terms of building materials is main attention devoted to natural material such as: Godula sandstone, Carboniferous sandstone, greywacke, basalt, and distribution of geological units. Last part is devoted to achievement of theses and benefits for the surrounding with proposal to creating suitable information material.
