Abstract
This thesis deals with analyse, design and implementation of geoinformation system of geogical collections for the museum facility Geologický pavilon prof. F. Pošepného. At the beginning is being described the facility in general, its services, working and its coverage of work. Further, the thesis continues with the analyses and design of geoinformation system using existing relational database. Based on the design are being chosen and described relevant and used technologies, libraries. After design is being described the implementation and configuration of the applicational server.
Beyond the design geoinformation system was developed. It consists of two separated applications using the data stored in PostgreSQL. One of them is desktop application written in C# programming language with dedicated to administrating the database which includes editing, viewing, querying and listing records of geological samples in collections. The second application represents a thin web client. It expresses localization of locations (sites) on suitable base map. Data are published through standard WMS from Geoserver and also using GeoJSON data format created with PostGIS and PHP.
