The bachelor thesis summarizes the issue of unique flood control measures of the municipality of Bolatice. This village is protected from floods caused by sudden rainfall by the polder system, which, by regulating the discharge of water into the sewage system, mitigates the consequences of the mentioned extraordinary events. In the thesis, a study of the exercises of the Bolatice municipal authorities during floods is described. The exercise is designed with regard to the most probable extraordinary event - summer torrential rains and verifies the cooperation and coordination of all affected departments, especially the activity of the flood commission and all affected bodies in and outside the municipality - Voluntary Fire Brigade of Bolatice, Voluntary Fire Brigade of Borová, Information Center of the Integrated Rescue System of the Moravian-Silesian Region, employees of the Odra River Basin (Opusta stream), as well as private persons providing technical assistance (for example loaders). The exercise examines the synergies of all affected departments and suggests possible recommendations for the flood commission to examine the accurate and most effective solution to the possible problems.
