Vliv deformace výstřikového kužele na účinnost hašení vodní mlhou

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of water mist fire suppression and the factors that can negatively affect its overall efficiency. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of air flow and spray cone deformation caused by a solid obstacle on the extinguishing efficiency, based on a proposed and conducted experimental measurement. Within the practical part, an experiment simulating these disturbing influences was performed. The measurement results demonstrated that both the physical obstacle and the air flow significantly disrupt the integrity of the spray cone. This deformation affects the water mist distribution to such an extent that there is a demonstrable increase in the time required for extinguishing, thereby reducing the overall efficiency of the fire suppression system.
