Abstract

This thesis describes conventional and modern technology for water treatment. Mainly describes the technologies that are used in a chemical plant in Ostrava and allows for their comparison with modern technologies today. In the theoretical part I describe clarification technology , electrodeionization , electrodialysis , reverse osmosis etc. , Which are generally used for water treatment . In the practical part I deal with technology that uses a chemical plant in Ostrava for the production of demineralised water . Attention is paid mainly for technology of pretreatment, mainly technology of water clarification, filtration and ion exchange demineralization with the help of ion exchangers.
