Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on selection of suitable masonry for building a family house in three selected areas. Its aim was to find the ideal masonry for each of the chosen areas using multi-criteria decision-making methods and to provide a clear evaluation of the selected building materials. The thesis contains a description of methods that can help with more complex decision-making problems, the introduction of the best-selling and most popular bricks for building houses, evaluation which criteria to focus on when selecting a building material and, last but not least, an evaluation of which bricks are suitable for selected areas and why this particular brick is the best or the worst option.
