Abstract

The aim of this Master´s thesis is to acquaint with benchmarking methodology and its key ideas, and sequentially apply it in an established automotive company. The study is introduced by weak points identification and improvement opportunities found in the change management process. In the course of the study the progress of the change management process is described, analyzed, and evaluated. Internal benchmarking is conducted in five phases, within the partner location of the same company. By means of direct observations, measurement, comparisons and analysis it is examined how the process is managed, where the performance gaps are, and what causes them. The goal is to use the information obtained from the internal benchmarking to identify best practices, find the inspiration for process management improvement and propose concrete steps for its realization.
