Abstract
This thesis focuses on measuring response time of a temperature sensor, when surrounding conditions sudden change. For this purpose a handling unit was created from pneumatic components made by the FESTO Company. This pneumatic two-axle system moves a tested temperature sensor between two thermal HUBER baths, each with silicone oil of a different temperature. An USB card N16009 is utilised to operate pneumatic drives and measure the temperature. This card is connected to the controlling PC. Digital inputs and outputs are used to operate the handling unit. The response time assessment is done by measuring actual tension on the resistance reader of temperature by means of an analogue input of the card. The entire controlling software is created with National Instruments LabVIEW 2009. The measured data is stored into files. The first one contains tension values on the temperature sensor in time and types of response times.
