Abstract

This thesis discusses about the resonant converters, which can be described as conventional DC/DC converters controlled by pulse width modulation, whose circuit diagram is extended by resonant structure containing resonant elements like L and C. Thus created circuit allows effectively achieve of very low switching power losses. At the introduction of the thesis is analyzed the problem of soft switching, which deals with methods of zero current switching (ZCS) and zero voltage switching (ZVS), including their each other comparison. In a large section of theoretical analysis are given individual resonance structures DC/DC converters, which can be divided into three basic groups: classical, quasi-resonant, multi-resonant. This work is dedicated converters, which belongs to the group of classic. For individual chapters which describe resonant converters is implied principle of function, waveforms of peripheral variables, graphs showing transmission characteristics and their advantages and disadvantages. The results of this work are simulations created in simulation environment OrCAD / PSpice. Before the simulations, it was necessary to become familiar with theoretical issues and methods of design of resonant converters.
