Abstract

In the presented thesis is analyzed a survey of possibilities of recovering claims and is presented a solution to improve the method currently used in a particular company. The theoretical part explains division of claims, risk limitations, the valuation of assets, prevention of bad claims, security of claims and their enforcement through the courts. The practical part is focused on a brief characterization of a selected company, an analysis of claim for the period 2009-2010, and the specific ways of claim recovering in the company. On the basis of the analysis is a systematic approach designed to improve their enforcement. Recommendation of further steps in terms of building comprehensive claims management system with emphasis on the avoidance of bad debt is given at the conclusion of the thesis.
