Péče řádného hospodáře v řízení fotbalových klubů: Analýza na příkladu klubů nižších českých soutěží

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis explores the application of the duty of due managerial care in the governance of football clubs competing in lower-tier leagues in the Czech Republic. The primary objective is to assess how the management of two selected clubs, FK Pustějov and an anonymized club based in the Olomouc region, implements this principle in practice. The research combines a quantitative analysis of budgetary data with qualitative insights derived from interviews with club representatives. Additionally, a SWOT analysis is used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats relevant to each organization. The findings reveal that, despite limited resources and a strong reliance on volunteer efforts, the two clubs demonstrate differing approaches to financial development, transparency, and long-term planning. The thesis also presents practical recommendations aimed at improving the governance of amateur sports organizations, focusing particularly on enhancing budget planning, strengthening internal controls, and improving communication with stakeholders and members. These insights may prove valuable not only to the clubs under study but also to other sports organizations operating in similar conditions.
