Abstract

In modern times, there is an innumerable range of possibilities for the recording of sound (e.g. visual, disc recording, magnetic, and digital). The most widely-used of these is digital recording. The manufacturing of an audio signal is an important intermediary part of various fields of science and of the entertainment and music industries. Intermediary methods with the filtration of a signal areincluded in many instruments and applications. The benefit of the processing equipment of analog and digital data is reflected in a wide array of uses. Personal music players, mobile telephones, computers and many more are just some examples. The filtration of a sound signal may be carried out through hardware, as well as software, from which each method is characterized in its own way. There are many possibilities in reference to means of filtration, ranging from the involvement of passive components in a circuit to mathematic algorithms and special functions in the developmental environment of this problem. This bachelor’s thesis deals with the proposal of single, basic filtration methods, the manufacturing of an audio signal and the implementation of a sound system suitable for the development of sound applications. A generated system for the manufacturing and filtration of audio signal includes an external USB sound card of the same parameters as a consumer product, and an application for the visualization and modification of a recorded signal with the possibility of the expansion of education and research purposes.
