Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on comparison of social insurance of natural persons in the Czech Republic and selected European countries. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and compare social insurance systems in the Czech Republic, Finland and in the Netherlands, to point out the significant differences mainly in the area of social insurance of individuals and also suggest possible recommendations for the improvement of current system. This work is divided into three parts. Social insurance system of the Czech Republic is characterized in the first chapter. Social insurance in Finland and in the Netherlands is described in the second chapter. The third chapter is focused on the comparison of these social systems and selected social benefits paid from these systems.
