Posouzení a zhodnocení návrhu celkové rekultivace území Dolů Nástup Tušimice

Abstract

Brown coal quarry Doly Nástup Tušimice (DNT), belongs to the company Severočeské doly a.s. which is situated in Chomutov, in northern Bohemia. It has a life expectancy of 25 years until exploitation of the territorial environment reaches its limits. The quarry DNT currently enters the final stages of it’s life durability. This thesis addresses the complex issue of redevelopment, rehabilitation and reclamation work of the whole environment around the area of DNT. The first part of this thesis contains a description of the specific area and theory for comprehension of the issue regarding redevelopment, rehabilitation and reclamation of the large quarry. The second half of this thesis focuses on applying the knowledge from observations and research directly to the quarry site DNT. It specifically explains the procedures of each variety or type of reclamation needed for each specific location, and it estimates the quantified costs of the total reclamation of the specific area. The penultimate chapter is devoted to the post-reclamation period and this part contains revitalizing projects, the socio-economic and ecological impacts in the region upon the termination of coal mining. The conclusion of this thesis contains an overall evaluation of the whole reclamation process of DNT with commentaries on estimated quantified costs and on the creation of funds for mining damages, and on the creation of funds for redevelopment, rehabilitation and reclamation process.
