Interpretace Gabčíkovské magnetické anomálie na základě reinterpretace seismických reflexních profilů

Abstract

This work focuses on the reinterpretation of the Gabčíkovo magnetic anomaly in the Slovak part of the Danube Basin, through an in-depth analysis of existing reflection seismic profiles. Previous interpretations of magnetic anomalies in this area often suffered from ambiguity, caused by a lack of information on the magnetic parameters of the rocks. Reprocessing and structural interpretation of high-quality seismic sections, carried out in the past, provide a more detailed picture of the geological structure of the Neogene fill and its pre-Tertiary basement, where the main source of these anomalies is assumed to be. The aim of this study is to correlate new findings from the reinterpreted seismic data with the spatial distribution of the magnetic anomaly, taking into account the results of gravimetry and possible drilling work. This integrated analysis should contribute to a more precise localization and characterization of the magnetic body responsible for the Gabčíkov anomaly, thereby reducing the interpretative uncertainty and refining the view of the geological structure of deeper crustal levels in this part of the Pannonian Basin. This work builds on previous studies that point to the possible origin of magnetic anomalies in basic rocks of the pre-Tertiary basement, and attempts to provide more specific constraints on their depth, shape, and magnetic properties based on a more detailed interpretation of seismic reflections.
