Abstract

This bachelor´s work deals with the visualization and measurement magnetic resonance images of vascular bed. The aim is to detect vascular bed , segmenting it and then delete the unwanted structures from images. In the second objective is solved measurements of length and diameter of blood-vessels . The first part of the issue is solved by using the Fuzzy thresholding method and the second part focuses on the approximation of the blood-vessels by curves, where are compared two methods , the method of interpolation and method of Euclidean distance to calculate the length and diameter of blood-vessels. There are described their pros and cons and evaluace, which method seems to be more suitable for real applications. For elaboration of the problem was used MATLAB programm interface, where was also created a GUI application for user, where he can upload that image, extract vascular bed from surrounding structures and then measure the length of individual blood-vessels and their diameter, to convert the measured values to the size of real-world units.
