Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to indicate the current state of analysis of clay minerals by Raman spectroscopy. The work is initiated with a theoretical part - basic information about clay minerals and the principle and technique of Raman spectroscopy. In the research part, five articles dealing with this issue are analyzed. These articles describe the measurements of clay minerals (such as kaolinite, smectite, montmorillonite) by Raman spectroscopy under different conditions (in aqueous suspension, using different excitation wavelengths).
