Abstract

This Bachelor thesis deals with an ANT wireless protocol. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of the ANT, the architecture, the model of OSI layers, the types of data transmission and the types of transmission channels through which data is transmitted. A number of other paragraphs are devoted to the creation of the connection between two, or even more nodes, authentication options and security technologies. The practical part is focused on creating a real network using a software tool ANTware II and two USB ANT transmitters. It contains a detailed description of the network configuration and subsequent measurement of parameters such as a range and transmission speed. The work suggests new ways of using ANT technology on the basis of the measured results.
