Abstract

In the modern age, there is an innumerable amount of scientific and industrial institutes working with the development of cybernetic equipment, which in many regards resembles a human being. In earlier times, this equipment was known only in books and films. Science, research, and development grow in all regards with rocket speed, which means that in this scientific discipline, more and more designers are being involved. The Japanese are certainly among the most well-known protagonists in the development of “robots,” who are incessantly attempting to create a robotic companion which in many ways is equal to and even acts like a human. This discipline summarizes in itself the countless number of scientific fields which support each other. From the production of a mechanical part, which would ensure important movements of all the cybernetic equipment, to the sophisticated software, able to react and adapt to its surroundings. This master’s thesis handles a suggestion for the so-called cybernetic head which is visually similar to a human head. Emphasis is especially given to the portion handling the creation of a driving system suitable for universal use. The produced entity summarizes in itself the mechanic construction of the entire head, upon which the requirements of basic movements are laid, as well as handles the creation of an image, sound, and subsequent evaluation. The entire system has the primary purpose of presenting the department at expositions and open houses, in order to interest potential students and the general schema_dspacedb.
