Abstract

The master's thesis analyzes the offer of cargo insurance on the Czech insurance market and, based on model examples, emphasizes the importance of cargo insurance in connection with INCOTERMS 2020 commercial terms. The theoretical part defines the characteristics of the INCOTERMS 2020 commercial terms and describes the principles of cargo insurance. Furthermore, the insurance conditions of five selected insurance companies were analysed and compared with each other. The analyses were also complemented by a survey among Czech exporters in the area of cargo insurance, which was part of the project SGS "Minimising risks related to the delivery of goods against the background of the use of INCOTERMS 2020". The last part of the master's thesis was devoted to cargo insurance and INCOTERMS 2020 in practice, where model examples related to container and road transport were presented.
