Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the research and development of organic ceramic tubes. Specifically, their penetration treatment and increasing their temperature resistence. Under the word fiber we can imagine a large number of fibrous materials, which can be divided into natural and synthetic. Among the most famous natural fibers are cotton, wool and linen. Synthetic fibers are based on polyamides, such as silon and nylon. Refractory materials and fibers are used for a long time in the metallurgical industry as linings of melting aggregates, casting pans, mobile mixers, but also as insulation of furnace aggregates. At the same time, however, these materials are used in the foundry industry for creation casting paths of castings. In this sector is the effort to use the highest quality materialsy yet at the same time affordable. For this reason, there is a constant development of refractory materials for casting paths, precisely in foundry processes. The diploma thesis describes experiments, which consist of the penetration of fibrous structures paper tubes with penetration mixtures, using these tubes as an inlet systém and comparison with the refractory materials already used in the foundry industry.
