Abstract
The thesis deals with a method for persons’ identification by the gait, i.e. bipedal locomotion, and its application to data recorded by a thermal imager. In the first part the thesis is focused on physical basics of infrared thermography, which are essential for
a suitable adjustment of thermal imager and then for correct evaluation of the measured data. Paper will also summarize the use of thermal imagers in physical security. Next point is the definition of bipedal locomotion. In the practical part I will evaluate the measured data and possibility of individuals’ identification. Then the thesis will review the used thermal imager for this purpose and compared the possibility of identifying individuals by the gait based on the thermal imager record along with the record of stationary outdoor camera without thermovision.
