Abstract
This thesis is focused on the use of ground beetles (Carabidae) as a bioindicators in the assessing of potential risks in postindustrial landscape. The main purposes of this thesis are to assess the communities of ground beetles through a continuous monitoring in this area. Another purpose is to assess the impact of selected environmental factors on the occurrence of ground beetles in the studied area. An essential purpose is detection the accumulation of potential risk elements in the tissues of the above-mentioned family.
The theoretical part describes the problems of mining and its impact on the environment. This section also included information about bioindication, model family Carabidae and methods of their study. As an area was elected mining district Nová Ves near the town of Rýmařov, who is a former mine of lead-zinc ores, and its description is also given a separate chapter.
In the practical part is described own biomonitoring and analysis in the laboratory. There are also assessed the results of the entire study of ground beetles. Assessing also include a visualization of the selected data using the program R.
