Abstract

Biogas systems are one of available possibilities to gain completely renewable source of energy and one of partial solutions of sustainable development. This doctoral study deals with digestates generated from anaerobic cofermentation processes of common as well as hardly usable agricultural and other organic wastes. Observation and knowledge obtained during postgraduate program at the Centre for Environmental Technologies VŠB - TU Ostrava are summarized. Proposals and evaluation of utilization options of cofermentation digestates unsuitable for fertilization purposes are submitted. Evaluation of possible procedures was done especially from the material and energy point of view. Findings of such research should contribute to the development of existing knowledge about opportunities of treatment and usage of agricultural wastes, primarily digestates.
