Abstract

My thesis points out the danger of nanoparticles that are present in the air at workplace. In the beginning I focus on explaining the term nanoparticles, the ways of exposure of nanoparticles to workers and physicochemical properties of nanomaterial, especially toxicity. The field of nanotechnology, ways and principles how to measure the occurance of nanoparticles in the air is also mentioned. I devoted the practical part of my thesis to measurement of partical exposure at chosen workplaces, and use this data for application of Certified method for provision of safety working equipment at the chosen workplace, where the risk of nanopartical occurrence is.
