Abstract

The Bachelor thesis describes the behavior of timber structures under the fire. The first part deals with the timber as itself and its properties under a normal conditions. The next section describes the influence of a temperature on the physical and chemical properties of the wood and its behavior when subjected to the effects of the fire and the design of the timber structures to the effects of the fire according to ČSN EN 1995-1-2. The part of this work is a program in Microsoft Excel 2007, which provides the resistance of the structural elements. In the last part is an introduction with the possible increase in the fire protection of wooden structural elements.
