Abstract

This thesis is dedicated to the issue of waste electronic devices, specifically mobile phones, with a focus on LCD screens containing indium and its recovery through bioleaching. The theoretical part includes chapters dedicated to the current situation regarding mobile phones, their production, and the management of the ones that have became waste. The practical part focuses on the leaching of indium using selected bacterial cultures. The outcome of the thesis is the evaluation of the measured values, their comparison, and the assessment of the effectiveness of the selected method.
