Abstract
This thesis deals with the financial analysis of the company Kotouč Štramberk, Ltd. in the period of 2011 to 2015. The aim of the study is to evaluate the financial situation of the company, using various methods such as horizontal analysis, vertical analysis, financial ratios use, Du Pont pyramid decomposition, bankruptcy and credibility models.
The opening chapter of the thesis describes the theoretical definition of financial analysis, which financial statements it is based on and what its mission is, while the next part deals with the characteristics of the chosen company, along with its history and a list of activities. The actual assessment of the financial analysis itself is the theme of the third chapter of the work. This chapter also contains a number of charts and graphs that illustrate the evolution of the indicators in the above mentioned period. It is followed by "suggestions and recommendations", where, based on the previous part of the work, various methods of improving the financial situation and contributing to the development of the company Kotouč Štramberk, Ltd. are suggested.
