Zhodnocení potenciálu pro založení vinařského klastru v Jihomoravském kraji

Abstract

The wine production sector and wine production is more than ever influenced by globalization. Due to this trend, local and regional wines are becoming much demanded article. This diploma thesis aim is to map wine makers and vinicultures in the South Moravian Region and to evaluate its potential for establishment of a wine making cluster. The first part will consist of cluster’s cornerstones and its legislative adaptation to fully understand the context. Further, world history of wine making will be addressed as well as history of wine making at our territory. Consequently, the current situation in the Czech Republic will be mapped in area of wine making and viniculture. Including detailed introduction of the South Moravian Region with focus on wine region Moravia, where we will identify the sector clusters. There will be a few examples from abroad to compare the situation to the Czech Republic. Further, there will be analysis conducted according to Porter’s Diamond and calculation of localization and concentration coefficient in order to examine whether the South Moravian Region has a potential to establish wine making cluster. Based on the foreign experience and survey conducted by association VOC, their members and educational institutions, there will be also recommendations of next steps included.
