Abstract
Energy harvesting is the process that collects a small amount of energy that would otherwise be lost as heat, light, sound, vibration or movement The purpose of this research is to describe and test the application of Energy Harvesting technologies. When applying technology EH we describe the principle of supercapacitors and switching power supplies.
When creating the prototype it was decided to use a switching power supply.The switching power supply has many advantages, such as size, weight and performance.
The capacitor has been used for energy storage. he advantage of the capacitor is a high discharge rate and a large number of cycles of charge/discharge.
The second part of my research has been devoted to creation of a prototype. As it has been tested in the laboratory and test results led to conclusion that this technology can be used to power smart sensors and transducers.
