Abstract

This thesis is focused on refractories and raw materials for their production, which are widely used in metallurgical, glass and ceramic industry and many other industries. In the first part of the work examines in detail the characteristics and distribution of refractory materials according to use and composition, and mechanical, chemical and thermal properties, which are important for refractories. Other parts are devoted to basic raw materials for production of refractory materials. They also analyzed the requirements for their properties and the technological processes of processing of raw materials. In the latter part of the space is given to companies operating in the European market and projected trends in production and consumption of refractories. The conclusion is summarized principally to maintain the position of the refractory products market at a time when there is a decline in production of refractory materials.
