Abstract

The content of the thesis is static design and check the basic elements and connections slender wooden silo with a shallow hopper. Silo is located in the industrial complex for production of glued laminated beams, near the water dam Silesian Harta. As part of the additional production of wood pellets as a waste product of wood production, it is designed aboveground silo with a mass of material stored to one hundred tons. The thesis deals with static assessment of individual parts and joints of wooden silos: a double-walled cylinder-shaped container, roofing, hopper and lower support base, including the establishment of reinforced concrete footings. At the beginning of the work focuses on the introduction to the history of silos, mainly timber construction systems. As a part of the annex are the drawings.
