Zhodnocení hospodářského a sociálního rozvoje obce Hrubá Vrbka z pohledu jejích obyvatel

Abstract

This bachelor thesis aims to determine the population structure in the village of Hrubá Vrbka. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the satisfaction of the inhabitants living in municipality of Hrubá Vrbka with selected economical and social aspects of development for the year 2021. Furthermore, the thesis strives to find the areas leading to a decrease in inhabitants’ satisfaction with life in their municipality. Additinally, the thesis aims to identify the cause of population decline. The municipality should, therefore, consider establishing for example a nursing home to provide better care for the elderly. Last but not least, the municipality ought to bring in new investors with its companies providing more job opportunities for the residents.Within the population, it seeks to identify the causes of differences between the inhabitants. Furthermore, it aims to find the problems that lead to the regress in the standard of living in the municipality and the consequent loss of population. The bachelor thesis is structured in 6 chapters. In the theoretical part, the emphasis was placed on the definition of the concept of public governance with special accent on local administration. The practical part focuses on the evaluation of the development of the municipality of Hrubá Vrbka in the context of a questionnaire survey. The results of the survey have shown that the municipality of Hrubá Vrbka is inhabited mainly by people aged 19-64 with secondary education. It also shows that job opportunities in the municipality are scarce which leads to gradual population decline in Hrubá Vrbka. Additionally, it was also found that the municipality is lagging behind in health and social services. The municipality should, therefore, consider establishing for example a nursing home to provide better care for the elderly. Last but not least, the municipality ought to bring in new investors with its companies providing more job opportunities for the residents.
